This fall, Man of 1000 Masks will be putting out a LIVE tape by the Marietta/Athens, OH tag-team known as Drink Deep. You will be put through a table.

EDIT: I don't think they're a band anymore, so I don't think this is happening now. Bummer.

MASK #1 Enzuigiri - s/t 7"

The in-ring debut from the Mid-Ohio Valley's Enzuigiri. Three tracks of riffy, "spacey" hardcore with lots of yelling about important subjects such as barges and being eaten by a planet. There's even some noise thrown in for some annoyance. This 7" is a kick to the medulla oblongata. Ring the bell.

David Bello Tribute

David Bello fucking rules. Nothing else needs to be said. Just listen to him. Incredible. If you don't like his music, you need to get chokeslammed. A "Tribute" compilation of various WV bands doing Bello covers came out recently, and Enzuigiri has a track on there so I'm posting this.

Enzuigiri 7" will be out very soon.

Horseburner - Dirt City EP

ANOTHER release that I had no part in putting out. Horseburner is Jack from Enzuigiri's other band (also includes current and ex-members of To Kill Or Cure, Powerbomb, Egress, The Great Eastern Dream). Parkersburg, WV stoner/sludge/RAWK-N-ROLL that sounds like getting Vader Bombed on concrete. More proof that good stuff can come out of this city.

This CD is great, but this band NEEDS to be seen live to really get the full effect. Make sure you bring some earplugs or you won't be hearing anything for the next few days. Hopefully they'll actually start making it out of town in the near future so you can have a chance to see them.

No download for this right now (maybe in the future), but you can order this heavyweight by sending $6 through paypal to mmcxii[at]gmail[dot]com. Don't be a jobber. Order it.

Enzuigiri/Bombs Away! split tape

Not a Man Of 1000 Masks release, but it's an Enzuigiri release so I'm putting this on here. First release from Connecticut's Brutal Americana label which is run by Demonic Dave of Bombs Away. I've liked Bombs Away! since I heard their demo, liked them even better when I saw them live when we played a show together, and even more when I heard the EP, so I'm glad this tape came together. Their track is sweet. Our track is...I'll leave it up to you to decide. Only 100 were made, so act fast! They'll only be around for a good 10 years or so. You can order it (and download it, you jobbers) from the Brutal Americana page.

Landmine - Demo

Sure, the name isn't original, but who cares. Landmine (now Enzuigiri) is me, Eric, and Jack. When this demo was made, it was me, Eric, and Derrick Shanholtzer. Derrick lives up in Connecticut now and does a label called One Hundred Year Media (who is actually helping release the Enzuigiri 7") and plays in a couple of bands including One Hundred Year Ocean and Bombs Away. Now you know everything there is to know about Derrick.

I'd explain what the demo sounds like, but I'm horrible at describing what my own band sounds like so I'll just let you decide for yourself.

The demo was first released on 50 cassettes. They were all dubbed on a crappy cassette deck that stopped working soon after the demos were finished. That sort of put a stop to any "repress" that might've been planned. When we first started selling these tapes, they came with a totally barebones CDR that had all the tracks just in case people didn't have a tape deck or were absolutely terrified of cassette tapes. It took around half a year to get rid of 50 tapes. I think I ended up selling more to people out of the state and out of the country than to people in or near my own town. Oh well. They're finally all gone.
Derrick put out a nicely packaged version CDR of the demo out on his label when we started running low on the tapes. The OHYM version has two extra tracks which are rough recordings of songs that will be on the 7". That's the version I'm putting up for download. I'm not sure how many of these were made, maybe around 150? Not totally sure, but they're all gone now. These were given away free at shows.

Finally, there's a third and final "pressing" of this thing because we still have nothing else but shirts at shows. I don't have a picture of this one, but it's a CDR with yet ANOTHER picture of a tank on the front and an insert with Mil Mascaras on it. These are all gone. Download it at the link provided below.
